Educational Qualification

You need one of these two options:

• DMLT (Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology) + 2 years of work experience in a related field, OR
• BSc in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) + 1 year of work experience in a related field

DMLT means a 2-year course in medical lab work. BSc MLT is a 3-year degree course. Both teach you how to work in medical laboratories and run tests.

Extra Points

If you have worked with animal models before, that will help your chances. Animal models means working with lab animals in research.
