Bihar is Hiring 32,388 School Teachers

The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has opened applications for 32,388 School Teacher posts across Bihar schools. This is the fourth phase of teacher recruitment called TRE-4.0. The notification was released on 18 August 2026.

What Posts Are Available?

Teachers are needed for four levels of schools:

• Primary schools (Class 1 to 5)
• Middle schools (Class 6 to 8)
• Secondary schools (Class 9 to 10)
• Higher Secondary schools (Class 11 to 12)

The total vacancy is 32,388 posts across all levels combined.

Who Can Apply?

Age Requirements

You must be between 18 and 42 years old. Age is calculated as on 01 August 2026 for minimum age and 01 August 2024 for maximum age.

Education Qualification

Check the official notification for exact education requirements for each school level. Different levels may have different subject qualifications needed.

Other Rules

You must be an Indian citizen. Only online applications through the BPSC website are accepted. No physical or offline applications will be taken.

Application Fee

The application fee is ₹100 for all candidates. You must pay this fee during the online application process.

Salary and Pay Scale

Selected teachers will get a salary between ₹25,000 and ₹32,000 per month. The exact salary depends on your qualification and experience.

How the Selection Works

Selection is done through two stages:

• Preliminary Exam: A written test (computer-based) to shortlist candidates
• Main Exam: Another written test (computer-based) for final selection

There is no interview round. Selection is based only on exam performance.

Step 2: Register Yourself

Create a new account with your email and mobile number if you don't have one already.

Step 3: Fill the Application Form

Log in and fill the application form with correct information. Choose your preferred school level and subject.

Step 4: Upload Documents

Upload required certificates and documents as per the notification. Make sure all documents are clear and readable.

Step 5: Pay the Fee

Pay the ₹100 application fee online through the portal. Keep the payment receipt safe.

Step 6: Submit

Review all details and submit your application before 30 September 2026.
