What Is CERT-In?

CERT-In stands for Indian Computer Emergency Response Team. It is a top government IT organisation run by India. CERT-In works on cyber security and protects India's digital systems. They are now hiring engineers for 2026.

Scientist-B Job Details

This is a Group-A government job. You will work as a Scientist-B in CERT-In. The pay level is 10, which means your salary will be between ₹56,100 and ₹1,77,500 per month.

Total Vacancies: 131 Posts

CERT-In is hiring 131 Scientist-B engineers. The jobs are split into three streams:

UR means General category. EWS means Economically Weaker Section. OBC, SC, ST are reserved categories. PWD means jobs for people with disabilities.

• You must have a degree in engineering or science (Bachelor's level minimum)
• You must have a valid GATE score from 2024, 2025, or 2026

Choose the right GATE paper based on your qualification. If you studied Computer Science, take CS. If Electronics, take EC. If Data Science or AI, take DA.

You must submit your application before 17 August 2026. After that, no more applications will be accepted.

Selection Process

CERT-In will select candidates in two steps:

• Step 1: Your GATE score (2024, 2025, or 2026). This is a written exam you must have already taken.
• Step 2: Personal interview. Selected candidates will be called for an interview.

Your GATE score and interview performance will decide if you get the job.

Step 2: Look for the Scientist-B recruitment notification and the online application link.

Step 3: Click on the apply link. You will see an online form.

Step 4: Fill in your details carefully. Use your real name, date of birth, GATE score, and GATE registration number.

Step 5: Upload a recent photo and your signature as per the format given.

Step 6: Choose your preferred stream (Computer Science, Electronics, or Data Science).

Step 7: Check all details once more. Then submit your application.

Step 8: Keep a copy of your application form for your records.

Apply only between 14 July 2026 and 17 August 2026. After this date, you cannot apply.
