GTU Hiring 1 Junior Research Fellow

Gujarat Technological University (GTU) is hiring 1 Junior Research Fellow. This is a contract job based on a project. The job is for 1 year first. It can be extended for one more year or until the project ends. The extension depends on how well you perform.

What is This Job?

You will work as a Junior Research Fellow on a research project. The project is about algal nutrients and cell growth. You will study how it works at the molecular level.

The job location is Ahmedabad, Gujarat. You will work under the School of Applied Sciences and Technology (SAST) at GTU.

This is a purely contractual position. It is not a permanent job.

Who Can Apply? Eligibility

You must have a Post Graduate Degree (M.E, M.Tech, or M.Sc) in one of these subjects:

• Biotechnology
• Microbiology
• Biochemistry
• Life Sciences

You can apply in two ways:

• Option 1: You have the above degree AND you have cleared NET, GATE, ICMR, or any other National Eligibility Test.
• Option 2: You have the above degree. You do not need to have cleared any national test.

Age limit is preferably below 35 years.

Desired Skills

The university prefers candidates who have:

• Research experience in molecular biology techniques
• Experience handling animal cell culture
• Bioinformatics knowledge
• Good scientific writing skills
• Good communication skills
