IOCL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 - What's Opening

Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Marketing Division, has opened applications for 433 apprentice positions across its Northern Region. This is a big opportunity for students who have passed Class 10, completed an ITI course, or hold a diploma or degree. The apprenticeship is for 12 months, and you will work under the Apprentices Act, 1961.

These jobs are spread across 9 states and union territories: Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.

Who Can Apply? - Eligibility

You need to meet one of these educational qualifications:

• Class X Pass + ITI Trade Certificate: If you have finished Class 10 and completed a relevant ITI (Industrial Training Institute) course.
• Diploma in Engineering: A recognised diploma from a polytechnic or engineering institute.
• Bachelor's Degree: Any graduate degree in any subject from a recognised university.
• Data Entry Operator Role: Fresher or someone with a skill certificate can also apply.

Your qualification must be completed and recognised by 31 August 2026. This is the cutoff date the company will use to check if you are eligible.

How Many Seats Are There?

A total of 433 apprentice positions are available. These are divided into four main types:

• Technician Apprentice
• Trade Apprentice (ITI)
• Graduate Apprentice
• Trade Apprentice - Data Entry Operator (for freshers and skill certificate holders)

How Will Candidates Be Selected?

The selection process is simple and straightforward:

• No Written Test: You will not sit for any exam.
• No Interview: You will not be called for a face-to-face or video interview.
• Merit-Based Selection: IOCL will create a merit list based on your qualifying marks (the marks you scored in your final qualification like Class 10, ITI, diploma, or degree).
• Highest Marks = Selection: Candidates with the highest marks will be selected first.

This means your past academic performance is what counts. There is no exam to prepare for - just make sure your documents are correct and submitted on time.

How to Apply - Step by Step

Step 1: Go to the Official Portal

Visit the IOCL apprenticeship portal. You will use either the NAPS (National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme) or NATS (National Apprenticeship Training Scheme) portal, depending on your qualification type.

Step 2: Register Yourself

Create a new account using your email and phone number. You will receive a password and login credentials.

Step 3: Fill the Application Form

Log in and fill the online form with your personal details, educational qualifications, and preferred location. Also upload a Microsoft Office form as required.

Step 4: Upload Documents

Scan and upload copies of your Class 10 certificate, ITI/diploma/degree certificate, and any other required documents in PDF format.

Step 5: Submit and Take Printout

Review all details carefully, then click Submit. Take a printout of your submitted application for your records.

Important: Applications must be submitted between 7 August 2026 (10:00 AM) and 6 September 2026 (5:00 PM). After 5:00 PM on 6 September, the portal will close and no more applications will be accepted.
