JKSSB Skill Test Rescheduled - What You Need to Know

The Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has announced new dates for two skill tests. The Stenographer Shorthand test and Junior Assistant Type test have been moved to different dates in 2026. This happened because of bad weather conditions. New Exam Dates

1. Junior Stenographer / Junior Scale Stenographer

Shorthand Skill Test: First fortnight of September 2026

The original date was 27th July 2026 onwards. It has been postponed to early September. The official notice number is JKSSB-COE0EXAM(UT)/10/2022-04 (7055504) dated 26.05.2026.

2. Junior Assistant Type Test

The Type Test has been moved to new dates in August 2026. The test will happen at two centres - Jammu and Srinagar.

Why Were the Tests Postponed?

The Junior Assistant Type Test was postponed because of bad weather (inclement weather conditions). The official notices were issued on 25th July 2026.
